Registered Nurse - Neuro Cardiac Unit
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in the Neuro Cardiac Unit, a fast-paced unit caring for patients with stroke, cardiac, renal, respiratory, and medical-surgical diagnoses. The unit is also home to Gateway's central telemetry monitoring station and is a designated stroke unit within Deaconess Gateway's Certified Primary Stroke Center. Nurses care for acute stroke patients and gain experience with telemetry, heart failure, COPD exacerbations, infections, and complex medical conditions. The varied patient population offers opportunities to build confidence, expand expertise, and develop a broad nursing skillset while delivering care to complex patients.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with stroke, cardiac, renal, respiratory, and medical-surgical diagnoses.
- Care for acute stroke patients in a designated stroke unit.
- Provide care for patients with telemetry needs, heart failure, COPD exacerbations, infections, and complex medical conditions.
