About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Pediatric Allergy Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. VUMC is a leading institution in patient care, education, and research, committed to an environment where everyone can thrive. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will effectively communicate patient information to the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and evaluate progress. Professional growth is encouraged through continuous learning. The position operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with four 10-hour shifts from 7a-5:30p, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Key responsibilities include collaborating on the plan of care, coordinating and implementing care delivery, analyzing patient information to determine nursing diagnoses, and evaluating patient progress towards goals. The role also involves employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.
Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
