About The Position

Provides general nursing care to hospital patients. The role includes planning and communicating patient and family education, participating in unit-based educational activities, documenting accurately and promptly in accordance with practice and hospital policy, and explaining procedures and treatments to patients to gain their cooperation, understanding, and comprehension. The nurse will cross-train in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) based on department needs.

Requirements

• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Six months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent.
• Successfully complete Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• One or more years of previous Medical-Surgical or Telemetry experience.
• Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN) certification.
• Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
