About The Position

Aspire Health and Community Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team on a per diem basis. The nurse provides specialized nursing care to adults in a 24-hour crisis stabilization program that is a medically necessary, voluntary, less restrictive alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. The newly renovated unit has 10 beds and provides short-term stabilization and support; typical stays are 3 to 5 days, with flexibility based on individual needs.

The role supports adults experiencing behavioral health crises and works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to help individuals achieve stability and recovery in a compassionate, community-based setting. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and licenses. The posting lists a salary range of $40–$40 USD and notes that annual ranges are based on a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and provide compassionate, high-quality care.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in an acute mental health and/or co-occurring disorders setting.
• Familiarity with recovery-oriented treatment approaches for individuals with severe mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document clients' self-administration of medications while ensuring safe medication practices.
• Monitor clients' physical health needs and coordinate acute medical care with direct care staff as needed.
• Facilitate health and wellness groups and activities that promote recovery and overall well-being.
• Deliver strength-based, solution-focused nursing interventions.
• Support individuals in developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and safety plans.
• Complete assigned clinical documentation.
• Participate in required trainings to support high-quality care.
