About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab. The role involves patient care, recovery, and procedural support. The nurse will work in GI labs in the Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston areas, and may be required to float between locations in the region. Work hours vary, with start times between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, and the position requires availability for 36–40 hours per week. New hires attend day-shift orientation, including approximately 16 hours of non-billable training focused on EKG testing, modules, and Epic system training.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Proven experience with documented recovery skills.
• Complete an EKG test with a minimum score of 80%.

Nice To Haves

• Travel or PRN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit and assess patients before procedures.
• Provide Phase II recovery care to patients after procedures.
• Assist in the procedure room as needed, if qualified.
• Start IVs and monitor patients during recovery.
• Float to different locations within the region when required.
