About The Position

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from neonates through adults, following established standards and practices. Supports the mission, policies, and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Possess a current Texas State Registered Nurse license or be currently eligible for state board certification.
• BLS certification obtained through approved American Heart Association Training or the Military Training Network.
• ACLS is required for all areas in Surgery Services and must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit.
• PALS is required for Post Anesthesia and must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course.
• For Surgery: CNOR board eligible or certified.
• For Post Anesthesia: CPAN board eligible or certified.
• For GI Lab: SGNA board eligible or certified.
