Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Perianesthesia provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate communication, and clinical skills to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The position is based in Aurora BayCare Perianesthesia in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The team collaborates across pre-op, PACU, and discharge to support patients throughout their surgical journey. The schedule is four 9-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with variable start times typically between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. On-call duties include approximately 1–2 overnight shifts every six weeks, 3–4 weekends per year, and one holiday every 1½ to 2 years, with a 30-minute call response time required.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Obtain ACLS upon completion of orientation.
- Obtain PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
