Registered Nurse, ICU FT Days $10k Sign-On Bonus

About The Position

City of Hope is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its ICU day shift. The successful candidate must be able to work 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The role provides comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment planning and delivery, patient and family education, compliance with policies, and medication management. The nurse communicates with physicians and other healthcare professionals, documents care, supports quality improvement, and supervises care delivered by unlicensed support staff.

Requirements

Current Georgia State Registered Nurse License.
BSN, or enrollment in a BSN program within six months of hire and completion of the BSN within three years of hire.
Current BLS certification; an AHA certificate must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Current ACLS certification; an AHA certificate must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of RN experience in a bedside care setting.
Oncology experience.
Recent ICU and/or step-down experience.

Responsibilities

Continuously assess patient needs using a holistic approach and communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Adjust treatment based on the multidisciplinary plan of care.
Plan, deliver, direct, coordinate, and evaluate therapeutic interventions based on patient assessment.
Document interventions and supervise care delivery by unlicensed support staff.
Educate patients and families about the disease process, treatment side effects, and health promotion; provide support and reassurance to help inform decisions about the therapeutic plan.
Document education and support according to department standards.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and accrediting agencies.
Participate in developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures.
Participate in the unit's Performance Improvement plan to enhance patient care quality.
Obtain and document patient medical history and medication information in the medical record.
Verify and note physician orders.
Safely deliver prescribed medications and treatments and promptly evaluate outcomes.
