About The Position

The RN Clinical Nurse provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. The nurse is accountable for delivering compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy. Working collaboratively with the care team, the RN is responsible for patient outcomes that meet ThedaCare's standards for high-quality care. The role also supports nursing practice through innovation, professional growth, and development.

This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position scheduled for 24 hours per week on the day shift, from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The schedule includes every-other-weekend and holiday rotations. New graduates are welcome. The role is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah, in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RN licensure.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Ability to move freely, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling, and to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and relevant competencies to assess patients' physical conditions and nursing needs, and develop collaborative plans of care with patients and the interprofessional team.
• Plan for patients' care needs in collaboration with the interprofessional team to support high-quality care and clinical outcomes.
• Provide specialty-specific clinical care and perform professional RN functions that are age-appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific.
• Identify ways to improve patients' care experience, streamline care processes, lower costs, and promote quality and satisfaction among patients, families, and team members.
• Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development to retain expert clinicians.
• Provide consultation and maintain positive relationships with physicians and other interprofessional team members, collaborating to solve problems and improve patient care.
• Anticipate and proactively manage risks to prevent crises.
• Perform skillfully during life-threatening emergencies, matching demands with available resources.
