About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the 36-bed Medical/Surgical Unit at Davie Medical Center, a community hospital. The unit cares for adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, including patients recovering from illness, surgery, infection, and exacerbations of chronic disease. Virtual Critical Care support is available for IMC-level patients. Nurses work with dedicated charge nurses and an approachable management team in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication to promote patient safety and a positive patient experience across the continuum of care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Strong assessment, prioritization, patient education, and interdisciplinary communication skills.
