Registered Nurse-ASU&PACU Full Time 36 hours-4 days a week

The ASU/ENDO nurse works in the ambulatory surgery unit and endoscopy unit. The ASU nurse will assess and admit procedural patients and recover and discharge patients post procedure. The endoscopy nurse will be circulating during endoscopy procedures and assisting the gastroenterologist. This is a 36 hour day time position. The position does include taking ENDO call on certain weekends and overnights.
Requirements
- BSN or Associate Degree
- Current CT RN License in good standing
- Basic Life Support at the time of hire
- Current State of Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Successfully complete unit based competency package, plus unit specific items
- Strong team skills
Nice To Haves
- One year of telemetry or critical care experience preferred
- ACLS obtained within 6 months of hire
- Certification from a professional nursing body preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess and admit procedural patients
- Recover and discharge patients post procedure
