About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Endoscopy Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. This role provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care within a surgical environment. The RN will communicate with surgical and anesthesia staff regarding patient condition, assist with surgical equipment maintenance and inventory, and participate in performance improvement activities. Responsibilities include assessing operating room equipment readiness, obtaining necessary supplies, monitoring and positioning patients during procedures.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
Current BLS Certification.
Current ACLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations.
Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff continuously and as needed about patient condition.
Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
Participates in performance improvement activities.
Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met.
Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.
