Registered Nurse RN Acute Rehab
About The Position
Research Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its closed Acute Rehab unit. Acute Rehab nurses do not float to other hospital units. The rehabilitation team includes RNs and patient care technicians dedicated to helping patients improve function, restore independence, and return home with the education and care modalities they need. The unit reports high patient satisfaction scores. Rehab nurses work closely with occupational and physical therapists, social workers, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, patients, and families. Caring for patients over an extended period allows nurses to support their progress and recovery. The role offers career development resources, including mentorship, clinical education courses, professional certification support, and educational assistance. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date. No prior experience or travel is required.

- Registered Nurse qualification and a Registered Nurse Diploma.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Acute Rehab unit.
- Support patients in improving function, restoring independence, and preparing to return home.
- Work collaboratively with occupational and physical therapists, social workers, physicians, nurse practitioners, patients, and families.
- Provide patients with needed education and care modalities.
