About The Position

Wellpath is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse to join the clinical team at Clearwater County Jail. The RN provides patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process, working under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s). The role includes patient education and activities consistent with the nurse’s competencies and education, with a focus on communication and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
• Be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs in consultation with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as needed.
• Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
• Count controlled substances and carry out clinical and technical aspects of care according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting as required by policy.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel, and other staff as needed.
• Provide patient education and activities in accordance with competencies and education.
