About The Position
The Cancer Care Center Registered Nurse provides expert care for oncology patients using a multidisciplinary approach. The nurse evaluates and treats oncology patients according to outlined protocols. Compassionate care and ongoing professional development are key to success in this role.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing.
- 1 year of nursing experience.
- Illinois Registered Nurse License.
- American Heart Association CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) and/or a magnet-approved certification, or obtain one within 3 years of hire.
- Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate within 3 months of hire for sites administering chemotherapy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- 1 year or more of oncology nursing experience in an outpatient setting.
