Nestled in the heart of Northwest Montana, the Emergency Department at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell offers the rare combination of high-acuity nursing, strong team support, and a setting that places you minutes from mountains, lakes, and outdoor recreation. We are seeking experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Emergency Department in a PRN capacity, supporting our team during nights, weekends, and fluctuating departmental needs. This is a role for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments, value teamwork, and want to make a meaningful impact during critical moments of care. In the Emergency Department, every shift is different—and every patient matters. As a PRN RN, you will be part of a collaborative, high-performing team providing care in a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, supporting patients across the full spectrum of emergency medicine. Our Emergency Department features 28 private treatment rooms and serves a broad and diverse patient population across Northwest Montana and surrounding regions. From trauma and critical illness to urgent medical needs, every shift brings meaningful, hands-on clinical experience in a department that values teamwork, skill development, and compassionate care.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN license or compact license eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
  • Calm, adaptable, and effective in high-pressure environments
  • A collaborative team member who supports both patients and colleagues

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC preferred (or willingness to obtain as applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Care for a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatric, and acute medical cases
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and experienced ED staff
  • Apply strong clinical judgment in rapidly changing, high-acuity situations
  • Support seamless, team-based care when departmental needs are highest
