About The Position

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing.
  • Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
  • CPR required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Make independent decisions.
  • Critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.
  • Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
  • Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
  • Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process/pathway.
  • Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient.
  • Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
  • Implements physician orders as written.
  • Assures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
