About The Position

Join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team at Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. This is a night-shift, full-time role. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for professional nursing practice, including patient care and staff management assigned to the RN. The RN may serve as Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice. The role requires adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations to support compliance and patient safety.

Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center is New Mexico’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular care. It includes the state’s only facility performing left ventricular aortic device (LVAD) implantation and a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• Valid New Mexico nursing license or New Mexico compact license within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Two years of experience in a specialty.
• Two years of general nursing experience.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing practice, including patient care and staff management assigned to the RN.
• May serve as Charge Nurse and remain accountable for professional practice.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
