Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedics Unit
About The Position
Mercy Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Orthopedics Unit. The unit provides care to adults recovering from foot and ankle, orthopedic and neurosurgical spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, hip and knee, sports medicine, joint replacement, and reconstruction surgeries. The team uses advanced technology and minimally invasive procedures and emphasizes collaborative, team-centered care to support patient outcomes, recovery, and quality of life. The unit ranks in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide for clinical outcomes and has received recognition for orthopedic care from Healthgrades and U.S. News & World Report.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment.
- Registered Nurse license to practice in Maryland, or ability to obtain a Maryland license according to the licensing board’s timeframe.
- Healthcare Provider-Level CPR certification.
- New nurse graduates may be considered with acute-care practicum or technician experience; one to two years of clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred.
