About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab position. The ideal candidate has documented recovery experience and a strong background in post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), telemetry, and procedural nursing. The role includes admitting patients, recovering patients in Phase II, and assisting in the procedure room as needed. Floating to other locations, including various GI labs within the region, may be required. The position requires varying start times between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM and approximately 36–40 hours per week. Orientation is held on the day shift, beginning on a Monday, and includes EKG test training modules and an Epic system test-out lasting approximately 6–8 hours. Orientation includes 16 hours of non-billable time. There are no weekend or holiday requirements. Payroll is processed biweekly. Candidates should submit an updated resume, two current references, and a completed skills checklist. Candidates must pass the EKG test with a score of 80% or above.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of nursing experience.
- Documented recovery experience.
- Current Illinois RN license.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Pass the EKG test with a score of 80% or above.
- Submit an updated resume, two current references, and a completed skills checklist.
Nice To Haves
- Travel or per diem nursing experience.
- Background in PACU, telemetry, and procedural nursing.
