The ICU (Critical Care) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs, and implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care. This role involves developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness. They will synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient-focused action using clinical judgment and clinical inquiry, anticipating and responding with confidence to rapidly changing patient conditions. Medications will be administered safely and consistently with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures.
