About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a busy, physician-owned dermatology practice. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys assisting with in-office surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Previous dermatology or surgical experience is preferred, but the practice is willing to train the right candidate. The position offers an opportunity to expand surgical skills while working alongside experienced dermatology physicians in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient service skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
Nice To Haves
- Dermatology or surgical experience.
- Knowledge of sterile technique.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for in-office dermatologic surgical procedures.
- Assist the physician during surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile field.
- Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain surgical equipment.
- Assist with wound care, dressings, and patient education.
- Document procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Process and prepare pathology specimens.
- Maintain infection control and OSHA standards.
- Help ensure an outstanding patient experience.
