About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Rochester Regional Health, you provide patient care and make a positive difference in the lives of patients, their family members, and visitors. The position is in the Emergency Department at UMMC in Batavia, New York, and is part-time with a day/night schedule.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the NYS Office of Professions.
• Compassionate, warm, and patient-focused approach.
• Critical-thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Perform various treatment procedures.
• Provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, friends, and families.
• Supervise assigned team members.
• Develop and document individualized care plans customized to each patient's needs, with interdisciplinary health team support as needed.
• Communicate effectively about patient health status, treatment plans, and progress.
• Use an electronic health record (EHR) proficiently, including accurate patient and provider documentation and communication.
• Follow required department and system protocols, local, state, and federal regulations, and education requirements.
