About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to residents in a skilled nursing environment at its communities throughout Iowa. The role supports daily clinical operations, promotes resident safety and quality care, and works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with night shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Requirements

• Hold a valid RN license in good standing; the license must be valid in Iowa or the candidate must be able to activate it.
• Hold current, valid CPR certification.
• Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit and help ensure quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
