About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a diverse clinical environment, serving patients in the Emergency Department and MedSurg Swing Bed unit. The unit has 22 beds, with patient ratios of 1:4 for acute care, 1:6 for swing bed, and 1:4 in the ED. Patients may present with all types of diagnoses. Unit-specific orientation will be provided. The dress code allows scrubs of any color.
Requirements
- At least one year of MedSurg experience.
- Ability to titrate drips and manage patient needs effectively.
- Experience with common titratable or set-rate drips.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the unit.
- Monitor vital signs and manage treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care delivery.
- Read telemetry strips and respond to patient needs as necessary.
- Titrate drips and manage patient needs effectively.
- Float to ED holds and assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed.
