About The Position

We are looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to provide patient care in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit on the third floor. The unit has 96 beds and commonly treats patients with CHF, COPD, pneumonia, general surgical issues, stroke, and cardiac conditions. Patient ratios are 1:4–6, and nurse aide-to-nurse ratios are 1:8–16. Monitor technicians are available; RNs validate, read, and document telemetry strips.

The position works nights from 7 PM to 7 AM in 12-hour shifts, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Weekend work depends on unit needs. Holiday work is required for two out of three major holidays. RNs may float within their scope as needed. Navy scrub tops and bottoms are required. Unit-specific onboarding includes three training shifts.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Washington or Compact nursing license.
• At least 1 year of telemetry experience.
• Ability to titrate IV drips, including Heparin.
• Wear navy scrub tops and bottoms.

Responsibilities
