About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit caring for high-acuity patients, including patients with heart failure, respiratory failure, renal failure, multisystem failure, complex electrolyte imbalances, and complicated surgeries requiring intravenous infusions, extensive monitoring, and ventilator support. The nurse collaborates with the team in an 8-bed unit to care for some of Howard County’s sickest patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing school accredited by NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA, or have three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Hold a valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license, as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• ICU experience is preferred; new graduates will also be considered.
• EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to high-acuity ICU patients.
• Collaborate with the care team in an 8-bed unit.
• Demonstrate practice consistent with professional standards of practice and care, the Nurse Practice Act, and the mission and goals of Community Health Network.
• Apply skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and management of resources.
