About The Position

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care in off-campus emergency departments. Nurses will work in a dynamic environment and support a broad range of patient needs, from neonates to geriatrics, including medical emergencies and trauma. Work is primarily at off-campus emergency department locations in various cities, with floating to other locations as required by staffing needs. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 and may be up to 1:6 in fast track areas. The role includes 12-hour shifts with varying start times and six-week scheduling cycles. Weekend rotation is expected but not guaranteed; holiday work expectations are negotiable. Orientation includes hospital policies, unit-specific training, full days with unit educators, and hands-on emergency department training. LPNs and charge nurses provide support on the unit. Free parking is available, and any scrub color is acceptable.

Requirements

At least 2 years of emergency room experience.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
Strong IV skills and medication administration skills, including preparation and mixing.
Competency in telemetry and completion of required assessments before starting.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and deliver strong customer service.
Willingness to undergo training related to ventilator management.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple settings.
Administer medications and mix medications under pharmacy supervision.
Manage care for intubated patients, including operating ventilators and BiPAP machines.
Assist with emergency procedures, including chest tube placements and central line insertions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Float to other off-campus emergency department locations as required by staffing needs.
Possibly take charge nurse responsibilities during shifts.
