About The Position
The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role monitors patients, administers medications, maintains health care records, consults with healthcare providers, and educates patients. This is a full-time outpatient oncology infusion role in Sparta, New Jersey, with a stated schedule of 8 AM to 6 PM on days.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in oncology.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing. ASN-qualified team members must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and complete health care records and reports.
- Administers medications and monitors patients for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Records patient vital signs and medical information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
