Registered Nurse Infusion .6 Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse Infusion provides comprehensive care to patients and their families by listening, assessing patients, developing plans of care, and implementing, reassessing, and evaluating care. The role is based at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus in the Outpatient Center, which has 14 infusion rooms and 13 procedure prep and recovery rooms. Services include infusions, injections, wound care, and preparation and recovery for interventional radiology, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and pain management procedures. This is a 0.6-day position. Weekday shifts are 12 hours, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; weekend shifts are 7 a.m. to noon, with alternating weekends. Travel is never or rarely required. Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state licensing board in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, if required by the unit.
- Franciscan Alliance unit-specific certifications, if required by the unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association, if required by the unit.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics, if required by the unit.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and assess patients.
- Develop plans of care for patients and their families.
- Implement, reassess, and evaluate each patient's plan of care.
- Provide care in an outpatient center offering infusions, injections, wound care, and procedure preparation and recovery services.
