About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Infusion department at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville. The position is full-time, with a schedule of days, working 7:30 am-4 pm and 7:30 am-6 pm (two 8-hour and two 10-hour shifts per week). Weekend and holiday work may be required to meet department needs.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of critical care or medical surgical experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care tailored to individual needs, adhering to safety protocols to promote comfort, healing, and clinical excellence.
• Implement, monitor, and adapt individualized care plans while tracking patient progress and communicating critical condition updates to ensure timely clinical decisions.
• Serve as the primary advocate and central coordinator across all care disciplines, ensuring a seamless, well-aligned treatment journey for every patient.
• Accurately carry out physician and nursing directives to maintain clinical momentum and protect patient safety at every stage of treatment.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs alongside the broader healthcare team, empowering patients and families for success beyond their hospital stay.
