About The Position

UC Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Solid Organ Transplant unit (8CCP) at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This is a Part Time, Night Shift position. The Solid Organ Transplant/Renal unit is a 24-bed unit that performs Liver, Kidney, and Pancreas transplants. The kidney program includes a living donor transplant program. All transplant patients are admitted to 8CCP due to the specialized care and education required. Nursing care focuses on recovery from transplantation, including mobility, monitoring intake and output, pain management, and medication administration and education. Patients are typically recovered and monitored in the SICU before coming to 8CCP, but can also be admitted from TACU, clinic, or directly from home. The patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:6. This position offers training, and new graduates are welcome to apply. The unit offers a schedule with no call requirements and a warm team-culture environment.

Requirements

Associate Degree from an accredited school of Nursing (ASN)
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
Current BLS/ACLS/PALS per department requirements based on patient population needs.
No experience required.
