About The Position

Catholic Health is seeking an Emergency Room RN to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and improve patient outcomes. The nurse assesses and treats emergent cases, including critical care cases and rapid response codes, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. The role also includes advocating for patients and building meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for all RNs.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required for ED and specified critical care areas.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for ED and PACU.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Room experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate care for emergent cases.
• Treat patients requiring services including critical care and rapid response codes.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff, to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients and build meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
