About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for appropriately delegating patient care to other members of the healthcare team. This is a part-time, on-site Labor & Delivery role at Lourdes Health System, working night shifts of 12 hours for 24 total hours per week. At least one year of medical-surgical experience is required; Labor & Delivery experience is highly preferred.

Requirements

At least one year of medical-surgical experience is required.
Associate’s degree required.
New Jersey RN license required.
Comply with the applicable educational and regulatory requirements in the Nursing Administrative Manual.

Nice To Haves

Labor & Delivery experience highly preferred.
Two to four years of experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimens.
Participate in clinical decision-making.
Educate patients and their families or responsible parties about disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
Delegate and monitor care provided by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
Identify and participate in performance-improvement activities.
Maintain professional and departmental competencies.
