About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work on a specialized neurological unit, providing care for patients with neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain Barre Syndrome. The unit offers a learning environment focused on neurological diseases and requires critical thinking and nursing skills. The nurse will use continuous video EEG technology in the evaluation and treatment of seizures and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care. The unit is a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the region’s only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit, treating acute and complex patients. The position is located in Rochester, New York, and requires flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- At least two years of nursing experience.
- BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Telemetry nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a specialized neurological unit.
