About The Position

The Registered Nurse—Same Day Surgery provides direction to professional and non-professional clinical personnel in providing direct patient care. This is a PRN, day-shift Day Surgery Recovery Room position based in Montclair, New Jersey.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as an RN in a hospital or an ambulatory surgery center.
• Active and current New Jersey State professional Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification, obtainable within the first three months of employment.
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, collect blood specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and perform EKG; these skills are obtainable within the first three months of employment.
• Fluency in English to function appropriately in the job environment.
