Registered Nurse - Day Surgery
About The Position
The Registered Nurse evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care. The role assists physicians during examinations and procedures, performs patient tests, and administers medications within the registered nurse’s scope of practice. The nurse promotes patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, and allows for a wide degree of creativity and latitude. It typically reports to a manager or head of a unit or department.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree.
- Registered nurse certification.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
