About The Position

Provides and coordinates direct care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the Progressive Care Unit using the nursing process. Manages the care of assigned patients whose needs fall between those requiring intensive care and those that can be handled on most general medical floors. Demonstrates professional growth and development, and commitment to service, the organization’s mission, values, and professionalism.

Requirements

Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Current Georgia RN license or a qualifying eNLC multistate license; licensure must be obtained before beginning work as an RN.
Current BLS certification.
At least one year of experience.
Nursing skills as defined by Georgia law governing the practice of nursing.
Proficiency in special skills demonstrated through completion of the Progressive Care Unit care skills check-off.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Ability to perform the stated physical demands and work under stressful conditions, including exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.

Nice To Haves

BSN or MSN.
ACLS, PALS, CCRN, and CPI certifications.
Critical Care Course or internship.
