About The Position

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Pre/Post Surgery team. The role carries out functions that assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation with optimal patient outcomes. As a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), the nurse practices peri-operative nursing and is responsible for independent nursing behaviors involving peri-operative assessment and post-operative evaluation of care. Intra-operative RNFA practice is conducted interdepartmentally with the surgeon.

This part-time position is in the Surgery department at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, Illinois. The schedule is 24 hours per week on days. HSHS serves communities throughout Illinois and Wisconsin and emphasizes respect, care, competence, joy, and patient-focused care.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
