About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient experience and integrates care using the nursing process. The RN directs patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimal level of care.

This is a full-time night-shift position in Surgical Stepdown. Qualified candidates may receive a signing-on bonus of up to $15,000, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• For telemetry and higher-acuity units: AHA ACLS certification and basic EKG interpretation are required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate the patient experience and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct safe, patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
