About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient experience and integrates care using the nursing process, directing patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards. The goal is to discharge each patient after providing an optimum level of care. This role is on the Surgical Stepdown unit and works nights.

Requirements

• Meet the education requirements recognized by the State of Florida for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• Hold American Heart Association BLS certification.
• For telemetry and higher-acuity units, hold AHA ACLS certification and demonstrate basic EKG interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings, and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.

• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection control procedures.
