About The Position

Midlands Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for night shifts in Elgin, South Carolina, serving the greater Columbia area. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and other debilitating conditions. Nurses collaborate with physicians and therapists to deliver individualized care and support patients in rebuilding strength and independence.

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. The role includes patient assessment, planning, supervision, interventions, and evaluation designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restore optimal functioning, and help patients adapt to an altered lifestyle. The nurse integrates the hospital’s mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of and adherence to current nursing theory and practice, infection control, and wound care standards of practice.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and adherence to standards set by state agencies, The Joint Commission, and CMS.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, and use of applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines in patient care.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
• One year of recent experience; acute care setting preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred in LTACH and Texas hospitals.

Responsibilities
