Registered Nurse--Full Time (Nights)
About The Position
Centurion provides medical services to the Florida Department of Corrections and is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work at Avon Park Correctional Institution in Avon Park, Florida. The Registered Nurse (Medical) provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice. The role works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one.
- Active, appropriate Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
