About The Position

West Anaheim Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the DOU. The nurse uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe care within the scope of practice. The role includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.

The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. The nurse communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment. The role also requires maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Current valid State Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Critical Care Course.
• Critical care experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
