Registered Nurse - DOU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse at Lake Huron Medical Center delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Current and valid State RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
