About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a 32-bed Medical-Surgical/Ortho unit, providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. Care focuses on medical and surgical interventions, including post-operative cancer care. The role includes unit-specific orientation and training. The nurse wears navy scrubs and may rarely float to other medical/surgical units as needed.

The position is scheduled for 36 hours per week in 12-hour night shifts. Weekend coverage is required every third weekend (six weekend shifts in a six-week period), and holidays are covered on a rotating basis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar nursing role.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication skills, timely documentation, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care with a focus on accurate documentation and effective communication.
• Titrate drips, including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report significant changes to the charge nurse or supervisor.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and training.
