About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgery Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The role provides direct care to pediatric through geriatric patients and addresses psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care in the surgical environment. The nurse communicates with surgeons and anesthesia staff about patient condition, assesses and maintains ventilation, hemostasis, and circulation, evaluates level of consciousness, provides pain management, and ensures patient safety until transfer to another unit. The position also participates in performance improvement activities. The schedule is variable days, Monday through Friday, with an on-call obligation, for 72 hours per pay period.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
Current BLS certification.
ACLS certification, or obtain it within 3 months of hire.
Current PALS certification, or obtain it within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one year of work experience in the operating room.

Responsibilities
