About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgery Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital. The position provides direct care to pediatric through geriatric patients in the surgical environment, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general care needs. The nurse communicates continuously and as needed with surgeons and anesthesia staff about patient conditions. Responsibilities include assessing and maintaining adequate ventilation, hemostasis, and circulation; assessing consciousness; managing pain; and ensuring patient safety until transfer to another unit. The role also participates in performance improvement activities. The position is described as casual, as needed.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
Current BLS certification.
ACLS certification, or obtain it within 3 months of hire.
Current PALS certification, or obtain it within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of operating room work experience.

Responsibilities
