About The Position
Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Med Surg department in Murfreesboro, TN. This is a part-time position with night shifts. The role involves patient-centered care coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration and advocacy, clinical monitoring and execution, and continuity of care and discharge planning.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized care plans tailored to unique clinical needs, ensuring all interventions align with the patient’s personal goals and recovery strategy.
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients, families, and the care team to facilitate seamless communication and advocate for high-quality, aligned care.
- Provide high-standard clinical support by accurately assessing health status, documenting changes, and executing physician orders with precision to support the overall treatment strategy.
- Lead comprehensive discharge and transition efforts, empowering patients and their support networks to move confidently toward the next stage of healing.
