About The Position

Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate, quality patient care. Uses the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching for patients and families. Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team, participates in finding solutions when patient goals are not met, and ensures those solutions are implemented. The role is based at Henry Ford Health’s Jackson hospital campus.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
For RN Wound Care: completion of an accredited wound care program before certification requirements.
For RN Wound Care: WOCNCB®, NCCA, or CNA certification within 18 months of hire, maintained and current.
For RN Lactation Consultant: IBCLC certification acquired within 12 months of hire and maintained.
For RN Lactation Consultant: one to two years as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist preferred.
